Family camping trips are becoming more and more popular every year, with people travelling all over the world with their family and a tent. One reason might be its relative inexpensiveness compared to many other vacation ideas. But it can also be a lot more fun and exciting than going somewhere and staying in a hotel for 2 weeks. If you are planning a family camping trip, consider Italy as your destination. It can provide the perfect setting for a very memorable family camping trip.
While tourists will pay exorbitant prices to stay in the most popular locations in Italy, the cost of a trip there is greatly reduced if you take the hotel costs out of it. Camping sites in Italy are only a fraction of what hotels will charge to stay there, especially during the peak of the tourist season. While you will have to plan ahead and bring some equipment and supplies, it can be well worth it to take the family camping in the Italy. Not being tied to a particular location as you would be staying in a hotel, you can move around and explore much more than the typical tourist, and this flexibility is often well worth the trouble of carrying your equipment around.
Unlike hotels, you can easily just move if it turns out that the location you originally chose turned out to be crowded with tourists, or Spring Break partygoers, or if you just find a prettier spot to set up. No worrying with tips to the concierge, no maids or housekeeping coming into your room and messing around while you are not there. If you want, you can set up with an RV instead of a tent, and enjoy better living conditions. But for others, the tent is half the fun of camping. The point is it is all up to you!
As far as your budget goes, you can save a lot in food expenses by cooking your own food rather than being tied to often expensive restaurants. Eat out if you want, or stay in and cook around the campfire with the kids. Again, it’s all up to you!
There are plenty of places to go and areas to explore in Italy. Your family camping trip could start out in the mountains of northern Italy, and end at the foot of majestic cliffs overlooking the ocean beach. A warm climate and Mediterranean weather make Italy an excellent choice for your next family camping trip.
