If you are an RV owner and looking to sell your RV, you will probably need to know just what it is worth before you know how much you are willing to take for it. If you’re looking to purchase an RV you need to know what the wholesale value or dealer invoice is before you start to negotiate with your RV Dealer.
The best place for you to turn is to J R Consumer Resources, which supplies RV appraisals for motorhomes, travel trailers and fifth wheels. This service is a must if you want to know the wholesale and fair retail values for any RV
In determining the wholesale and retail values we use the latest edition of the Professional (dealer) Version, of the NADA Appraisal Guides. The NADA Guide is nationally accepted and used by all RV dealers and lenders in the U.S. It is considered the #1 source for obtaining both wholesale and retail values.
We do not use the Kelly Blue Book because we have found the values to be on the high side and lenders and RV dealers don’t rely on this source of information as much in determining TRUE VALUES. For this reason we only use the NADA GUIDES in determining values.
Every RV has its own unique value just like cars or boats. RV’s have unlimited combinations of options that must be carefully considered. Book prices must be adjusted by adding or deducting the cost of options, mileage, condition, and marketability. Daily contact with what is happening in the market is required to determine marketability and accurate values.
